An 0 – 1 day here at Ultra Sports as we drop our first selection of the NFL Playoffs as the Arizona Cardinals -7 fails to cover the number.  All we can do is tip our cap to Green Bay and Aaron Rodgers for a valiant comeback on a miracle cover.  We drop (4) units in the day.

Everyone who purchased our package will receive the Champiinship round for free.

Smart Money Move Group Selections

The SMMG cash their selection of the day as the New England Patriots -5 cash the ticket.  An easy win, as they remain perfect in the NFL Playoffs.

Back here on Sunday with your next report.

With that said, here’s a first look at Thursday College Football:

Oklahoma vs. Baylor -15 @ 7:30 PM ET

I guess the schedule maker knew what they were doing for this Thursday’s College Football experience, as we have two marquee match ups going today.  The first tilt features the steady power of the BIG 12 vs. the upstart.  Baylor has been rolling all season long and now find themselves in unchartered territory…The Hunted.  While we see no reason why they should be a favorite, after all, they are 8 – 0 ATS at home, but over two TDs seems a little excessive.  Oklahoma knows big games, and will devise a plan to slow the Bears down.  In their only match up with a semi decent team (Kansas St), the Bears only scored 35.  We see Oklahoma getting to 28 here…  We’ll take the team that’s 20 – 1 straight up vs. Baylor and all those points.  A must take.

Troy vs. Louisiana Lafayette -13′ @ 7:30 PM ET

Let’s be honest…  With Oklahoma vs. Baylor, and Oregon vs. Stanford, will anyone be watching this match up?

Oregon -11 vs. Stanford @ 9:00 PM ET

Just like the Bears of Baylor, the Ducks of Oregon come into this match up paying a premium on the Vegas line.  Not only did they drop in the BCS standings, they now head to Stanford where the Cardinals have gone 33 – 3 straight up the last three years.  While we agree Oregon should be the favorite, the tax seems too high.  We saw first hand what the front seven of Stanford did to Oregon St, and we see the same results here.  Look for the Cardinals to control the line of scrimmage and play ball control.  A take.

Clemson -18 vs. Virginia @ 3:30 PM ET

At first look, that’s a lot of points for someone who’s season went up in smoke vs. Florida St.  The time is now for the Cavs as they play for their Coach who they respect and like.  A take.

Virginia Tech -4′ vs. Boston College @ 12:00 PM ET

Last week were sure the Hookies would lay it on Duke in the second half of the game as they are just too physical of a team.  We waited, and we waited, and before we knew it, they lost the game outright.  Taking a look at the box score will show you just how dominant they were.  This week they’ll take it out on an Eagles team that has given up more yards than they’ve earned.  Lay it.

Eastern Michigan vs. Toledo -30′ @ 7:00 PM ET

Who’s worse right now, Eastern Michigan or Hawaii?  Toledo names their number.

No Illinois -25′ vs. Massachusetts @ 12:00 PM ET

Don’t look now, but the Huskies are hovering around the BCS mendoza line again…

Kent St vs. Akron -1 @ 3:30 PM ET

Will anyone be watching this game…  Akron by a FG.

Temple vs. Rutgers -12′ @ 12:00 PM ET

Gezz…  I remember when I thought Rutgers was a good team…  A take.

Illinois vs. Penn St -11 @ 12:00 PM ET

Dear Illinois, wrong place, wrong time…  Penn St roars to victory.  Lay it.

Pittsburgh vs. Georgia Tech -10′ @ 7:00 PM ET

If the Panthers couldn’t handle Navy’s option attack, wait till they see what the Techsters can do…  Lay it.

Wake Forest vs. Syracuse -4′ @ 12:30 PM ET

A must win game for both…  We lean with the home team.

Western Kentucky -18′ vs. Georgia St @ 1:00 PM ET

Pass

Tennessee vs. Missouri -11′ @ 7:00 PM ET

Have to figure the Tigers lay an egg here after the brutal loss to the Gamecocks last week.  A take.

Iowa St vs. Kansas St -17 @ 3:30 PM ET

It’s time to regroup for this Cyclone team.  Really nice numbers and situations say so…  A take.

So Mississippi vs. Marshall -32 @ 12:00 PM ET

Our only thought is if the Herd will be covering this by halftime.  Lay it.

UTEP vs. Texas A&M -47 @ 9:00 PM ET

See above

Middle Tennessee St -4 vs. UAB @ 1:00 PM ET

This is a bad UAB team.  Still, we pass.

Texas San Antonio vs. Tulsa -3′ @ 3:30 PM ET

The Smart Money Move Group is still steaming about this Tulsa team…  They say they’ll rebound this week.

Army vs. Air Force PK @ 12:00 PM ET

Army by a FG

West Virginia vs. TCU -14 @ 3:30 PM ET

Way too many points for a team that has a hard time scoring.  Even with that said, West Virginia will not make our card.

Georgia -3 vs. Florida @ 3:30 PM ET

We smell an upset…  This one will make our card this weekend.  A take.

Arizona -16 vs. California @ 3:30 PM ET

Anyone in Cal misses Coach Tedford yet?

Miami FL vs. Florida St -21′ @ 8:00 PM ET

Way too many points for the Noles to be laying…  A solid take with a quality team.

Wisconsin -9′ vs. Iowa @ 12:00 PM ET

We really like this Iowa team.  This one may make our card this weekend too.  A take.

Michigan vs. Michigan St -4′ @ 3:30 PM ET

Remember what we said not too long ago.  This Michigan St team is a play on team for the rest of the year…  Lay it.

Ohio St -32 vs. Purdue @ 12:00 PM ET

Anyone else think Coach Meyer wants to be apart of the BCS talk?

Minnesota vs. Indiana -9′ @ 3:30 PM ET

Two teams learning how to win…  The points is a must.  A take.

Colorado vs. UCLA -28 @ 7:30 PM ET

Dear Colorado, see Illinois above.  Wrong place, wrong time.  Lay it.

Navy vs. Notre Dame -15 @ 3:30 PM ET

A solid take in our book as the Midshipmen always come to play.

Auburn -8 vs. Arkansas @ 6:00 PM ET

The Tigers may be getting a little to full of themselves.  This one should be FG.

Northwestern vs. Nebraska -6 @ 3:30 PM ET

What the heck has happened to the Nebish?

Arkansas St vs. So Alabama -3′ @ 7:30 PM ET

We won’t touch this.

Hawaii vs. Utah St -25 @ 4:00 PM ET

We’ve just updated this one:  Hawaii stuck in LA due to the shooting.  They’ll get in late / early morning to Utah.  To make matters worse, their equipment and pads are stuck in Arizona.  With all that, 4 TDs is still too much for a team without Chuckie.

San Jose St -4 vs. UNLV @ 4:00 PM ET

We think the wrong team is favored.

New Mexico St vs. Louisiana Lafayette -32 @ 5:00 PM ET

Lafayette laying close to 5 TDs…  Really…

Texas St -10′ vs. Idaho @ 5:00 PM ET

Pass

North Carolina -5′ vs. North Carolina St @ 12:30 PM ET

As we said last week, it’s now or never for the Tar Heels.

Kansas vs. Texas -28 @ 3:30 PM ET

Who has the better gig:  Coach Weis or Matt Flynn?

Tulane vs. Florida Atlantic -2′ @ 5:00 PM ET

Once again, zero respect for Tulane.  A take.

Oklahoma St vs. Texas Tech -1 @ 7:00 PM ET

Texas Tech…  We played against you, and you burnt us.  The following week, we played with you, and you burnt us.  This week, we’ll watch on the sidelines.

East Carolina -25 vs. Florida International @ 6:00 PM ET

I can still remember when the Wise Guys loved this FIU team…

Nevada vs. Fresno St -20 @ 10:30 PM ET

This will be a fun game to watch.  The OVER is the play.

Mississippi St vs. So Carolina -12 @ 12:20 PM ET

The only question we have is if the Gamecocks will have anything left in the tank after the thrilling victory last week.  They’ll come out slow.

Boise St -7 vs. Colorado St @ 8:00 PM ET

The Rams are on a winning streak…  It ends tonight.

New Mexico vs. San Diego St -14′ @ 8:00 PM ET

That’s a ton of points for a team that tasted victory vs. a ranked team last week, only to miss a chip shot FG.  A take.

So California vs. Oregon St -4′ @ 9:00 PM ET

The Beavers really let us down last week with questionalbe play calling and coaching decisions.  What was amazing to us was how Stanford was able to dominate the line of scrimmage getting to the QB at will.  The Trojans have the same ability along the defensive line, but lack effort for a full 60 minutes.  Corvallis has been a house of horrors for the Trojans, and the Beavers have shown the ability to bounce back.  It won’t be easy, but we think the Beavers should get the home win.  Lay it.

So Florida vs. Houston -18 @ 7:00 PM ET

Looks like it’s finally time to give this Cougar team some props.  After doubting them the entire season, it seems that their offense will carry them as their defense is just plain horrible.  The Bulls come into this match up with nothing going for them.  They can’t score, and that alone will make us stay off this game.  We lean to home team.

Rice vs. No Texas -4 @ 7:30 PM ET

Plain and simple: The wrong team is favored.  This one may actually make our card for the weekend…

Louisiana Monroe vs. Troy -3′ @ 7:30 PM ET

Not to long ago this Monroe team was going head to head vs. the likes of Auburn and Arkansas and winning straight up as 30 point underdogs.  Now we fast forward to 2013, and they’re getting a FG from Troy?  We’ll pass this game and look for a better match up this weekend.

Arizona St -12 vs. Washington St @ 10:30 PM ET

After opening a can of whoop ass on Washington, this rested team of Arizona St heads to Pullman as a double digit road favorite.  The last time we saw these Cougars they were blasted by Oregon St and Oregon.  What we have here is a ton of value towards the home team.  Yes, it’s hard to predict which Cougars team will show up, but it’s Halloween…  Strange things usually happen, and the Cougars head into this match up with a ton of good ATS numbers and situations.  A take.
